What a CSV export is, and what it is not
CSV is readable by any system and by any developer, but it is not a turnkey migration file. DrinCloud is not ONC-certified, so there is no C-CDA or USCDI export package. If your next vendor wants a specific structured format, someone will have to map the columns. We will not stand in the way of that.
Questions we get asked
What happens to our records if we cancel?
Export what you need before your access ends. Everything comes out as CSV, and accounting data also goes to Sage. There is no exit fee for taking your own data with you.
Do you use our patient data for anything?
No. Your clinical data is yours and is held under the BAA we sign with your practice. Each customer runs on a private instance rather than a shared pool of records.
Will another EHR accept the export directly?
Depends on that vendor. CSV is universally readable, but most systems want their own column layout, so expect a mapping step.
Can we run exports ourselves?
Yes, from the lists and reports in the system, as often as you want. The API is there if you need scheduled extracts instead.
