Alternatives to DrinCloud, compared with verified data

Yes, DrinCloud publishes this page, and we know exactly what you are doing: comparing before you decide. That is the right thing to do. Here are the fourteen alternatives that matter in the United States, with the price we read on each vendor's own pricing page on November 2, 2026. We would rather you compared with data than with marketing, ours included.

How to read this page. A score only appears next to a product we have actually scored, block by block, with the formula published on its comparison page. The rest carry their verified price and their best use case, and their comparison is on the way. Putting a number on a product we have not scored would be the exact thing this page says it does not do. Where a rival is better, we say so: Carepatron and Noterro are cheaper than we are with one provider, Jane has better online booking, TherapyNotes answers the phone at any hour, and anyone who bills insurance should buy SimplePractice, Jane or Tebra rather than us.

DrinCloud that is us4.1 to 4.3The product you are evaluating. SimplePractice3.1The biggest name in behavioral health software. Claim filing, a payer network, an enormous template library, a client directory that sends referrals, and the deepest ecosystem of the group. The extras are where the bill grows: AI Note Taker, ePrescribe and each added clinician are all separate line items.Published price: $49 Starter, $79 Essential, $99 Plus, +$74 per extra clinician, Note Taker $35Practices that bill insurance and want the safest, best-supported option on the market.Read the comparison
Jane App3.0The favourite of multidisciplinary clinics, and deservedly so: the best online booking in this list, unlimited human support by chat, email and phone on every plan, free data import and a setup call. The one thing it does not publish is the price of the second practitioner.Published price: $59 Balance, $79 Practice, $99 Thrive, scribe $15, seat price not publishedMulti-practitioner clinics that value scheduling and support above everything else.Read the comparison
TherapyNotesComparison comingBehavioral health specialist with phone and email support 24/7 on every subscription, which nobody else in this list matches. Claim filing included. Its TherapyFuel AI is the most expensive scribe of the group at $40 per clinician.Published price: $69 Solo, $79 Group first clinician, +$50 each, TherapyFuel $40Group practices in behavioral health that bill insurance and want support at any hour.scheduled
Practice BetterComparison comingNobody runs structured programs and protocols better: 12-week plans, food and mood journals, between-visit check-ins. Built for nutrition, functional medicine and health coaching. Its catch is the second practitioner, who forces the jump to the $155 Team plan.Published price: Free Sprout, $35 Starter, $69 Grow, $99 Plus, $155 Team, +$50 per practitionerNutrition, functional medicine and coaching practices that sell programs, not visits.scheduled
IntakeQ / PracticeQComparison comingThe best intake forms in this list by some distance, and a fair per-practitioner price. The gap is AI: as of today IntakeQ has no AI scribe at all, so if you want drafted notes you are buying a second tool and pasting between them.Published price: $54.90 Forms Only, $84.90 Practice Management, +$30 per practitionerPractices whose bottleneck is intake paperwork and who do not need AI notes.scheduled
HealthieComparison comingThe strongest API and developer story of the group, and the usual choice for telehealth companies building something on top. Cheapest entry price here at $19. Two things to watch: AI pricing is not published, and the second provider forces the Group plan.Published price: $19 Core, $49 Essentials, $129 Plus, $149+ Group, +$50 per providerNutrition and telehealth businesses that will build on an API.scheduled
TheraNest (Ensora Health)Comparison comingPer-therapist pricing with unlimited clients, now sold by Ensora Health. Worth knowing before you compare: it bills the AMA CPT licence separately at $19.50 per therapist each December, telehealth is $12 and e-prescribing $45 plus a $135 setup.Published price: $29 Essentials, $59 Advanced, $89 Premier, per therapist; Ensai AI $35Behavioral health practices that want a low per-therapist rate and will add modules as needed.scheduled
CarepatronComparison comingThe best value at one or two providers, full stop, and the AI is included rather than sold as an add-on. It is the youngest product here and the thinnest on the operational side: inventory, OR scheduling and inpatient work are not part of it.Published price: $39 Advanced per user, AI includedSolo clinicians and pairs who want the lowest bill with AI included.scheduled
NoterroComparison comingThe cheapest subscription in this list and a genuinely good product for body-work clinics. Read its AI carefully: the 300 included credits cover roughly 18 minutes of recording, and after that credits are a cent each, so a busy month can cost more than the subscription.Published price: $33 Core, +$13.20 per extra user, AI by creditsMassage, physio and body-work clinics watching every dollar.scheduled
TheraPlatformComparison comingTeletherapy-first, with a library of therapy resources and activities that speech and occupational therapists rate highly. Its Basic plan cannot add providers at all, which surprises people at the point of hiring.Published price: $39 Basic (single provider), $69 Pro, $79 Pro Plus, AI Notes $30Speech, occupational and physical therapists working mostly by video.scheduled
Sessions HealthComparison comingThe only product here with a genuinely usable free tier, limited to three clients, which makes it a sensible way to start a practice at zero cost. Clean and fast, with a small feature surface compared with the rest.Published price: Free up to 3 clients, $39 Professional, +$29 per practitioner, AI Assist $35Clinicians starting out, or testing a practice before committing.scheduled
CounSolComparison comingFour plans whose only real difference is the price and whether insurance filing is included, which makes it unusually easy to read. Long-established and stable, with an interface that shows its age next to the newer products.Published price: $49.95 Standard, $59.95 Standard Plus, $64.95 Premium, $69.95 Premium PlusSolo counselors who want a predictable bill and no module shopping.scheduled
TebraComparison comingBuilt for practices that bill insurance seriously: claims, eligibility, denials and a billing service behind it. EPCS setup ~$75 per providerInsurance-billing medical practices that want revenue cycle management included.scheduled
MyClientsPlusComparison comingWorth a line because people still search for it: its pricing page now redirects to Ensora Health, the company behind TheraNest. If you are on it and looking for where it went, that is the answer.Published price: No longer sold under its own nameExisting customers looking for the product's new home.scheduled

Where we tend to win

What usually tips the decision toward DrinCloud

One price per band, not per head

Our Clinic plan covers one to three users for $119 a month. Most of this list charges per clinician, so a three-person practice pays three times. At three clinicians with the AI scribe on for everyone we are $179 against $299 for TherapyNotes and $352 for SimplePractice, on the prices above.

The AI is $20 and switches on with a button

No API key to paste, no credits to watch, no minute tiers. For comparison, the scribes on this page run from $15 (Jane) to $40 (TherapyNotes), and Noterro's included credits run out at about 18 minutes of recording.

Data import is free and you do it yourself

Upload any Excel or XML file, check the result, and if an import did not come out right, delete that whole import and upload it again. No fee, no queue, no sales call.

Support in Spanish and Portuguese

Not one other product on this page offers it. If your front desk or your patients work in Spanish or Portuguese, this is the row where the comparison ends.

We do not take a cut of your card payments

You connect your own Stripe account and keep the rate you negotiated. Be clear-eyed about what that is worth: Stripe's standard US rate is 2.9% plus $0.30 online, so against Jane's 2.85% you pay a touch more and against SimplePractice's 3.15% a touch less. What you get is that the processor relationship is yours to negotiate.

Room to grow without changing system

Multi-location, an OR calendar with its own surgical waitlist, and inpatients by floor and room are switches, not migrations. Most of this list stops at the outpatient visit.

FAQ

Questions about choosing an alternative

Is this page biased?
It is published by DrinCloud, so treat it as a party with an interest and check the numbers. That is why every price carries the date we read it and a link to the vendor's own pricing page, and why the scores only exist where we published the formula that produced them. If you find a figure that is out of date, write to us and we will correct it and say so in the page's correction history.
Why do most rows have no score?
Because a score here means eight blocks scored row by row against the vendor's documented features, and so far we have done that for SimplePractice and Jane App. The others are scheduled. We would rather show a blank than a number we made up.
Which one is actually the cheapest?
With a single provider and an AI scribe running, Noterro at $33 and Carepatron at $39 are cheaper than our $69, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The order changes at two and three providers because our Clinic plan covers one to three users for $119 while most of this list charges per head.
When should I not buy DrinCloud?
If you bill insurance. We have no clearinghouse, no eligibility checks and no denial management, and no plan to add them. Buy SimplePractice, Jane, TherapyNotes or Tebra. Also if you need e-prescribing inside the same system, or an ONC-certified product for Medicare and MIPS.
Do these prices include tax?
Ours do not, and neither do the others. Applicable state and local sales tax is added where required by law. Nor do any of them include card processing, which for most practices is a bigger line than the subscription.
How often is this page updated?
Every price here was read on November 2, 2026. We re-check the whole table each quarter and whenever a vendor announces a change, and the date at the top moves with it.
